BETTER CITY - BETTER LIFE - EXPO2010 Shanghai
For the Expo2010 in Shanghai (China) I had the chance to work for m box and Marc Tamschick from Tamschick Media & Space on the Stategrid Expo Pavillon2010. Together with Sara Meloni (V4 computational design), Daniel Huber (V4 framework development and computational design) and Andreas N. Fischer (design/animation). I was involved in the dramaturgy and post production throughout the whole project. The Idea was to create a pumping heart of energy which is located in the center of the expo area. The Screen in the middle cube was surrounded by LED lines which enclose the entire building complex with power-charged grid lines. StateGrid is Chinas biggest energy company and provided energy to the whole Expo2010.

MERCEDES BENZ - GENEVA MOTORSHOW 2011
The two new models, the C-Class Coupé and the SLK were presented on a rotating platform. Two LED HD screens were positioned on opposing sides of the platform and as the emphasis varied from car to car, so the corresponding clip and lighting scenario varied accordingly. Presenters on the main stage introduced the models and were accompanied by interactive video clips. The clips showed material from the pre-recorded ‘Innovationtour’, which was filmed by Veith Michel during a test drive by Patrice Bouédibéla and Eva Nidecker. Test Film not only showed the two Cars and there Drives in Action but also Interviews of Mercedes workers that were directly involved in the development of the cars.
A talk show set was situated on the stage’s reverse side, where daily ‘Trendtalks’ with innovators from diverse fields of expertise took place.
Additionally, ambient films that demonstrated the main features of the models and emphasising the talks were shown on the two LED screens. They took the form of graphic animations and edited short films.

Prologue:
“…Based on an old Myth the gods once deemed, that greedy and selfish people should be reborn as pigeons, so that they might become more devotional.
But some of these dovepeople didn‘t want to resign to the fact of being “rats of the air” until eternity and be forgotten. They searched for someone who might take them out of there own misery. Uprising from the dirt they gathered to find a way out of their fate…”

THERE IS NO END TO MORE (Trailer) - Jeremy Wade -
“There is no end to more”, a pice by Bessie Award-winning American choreographer Jeremy Wade.
In a bold and violent juxtaposition of movement, text, animation and video of manga (Japanese comics) drawing, Wade takes a playful and cynical look at Japanese kawaii (cute) culture— from the infantile fluff of Hello Kitty to teenage doe-eyed love portrayed in anime—exploring its ubiquitous influence on the world today.
In his inimitable way of walking the line between societal norm and aberration, consumption and delusion, Wade peels away the layers of kawaii to reveal the grotesque that lies beneath. Wade, who is based in Berlin, directs there is no end to more, a solo for a salesman in which he sells his own super show, performed by actor/ dancer Jared Gradinger in collaboration with Brooklyn-based Japanese manga artist/illustrator Hiroki Otsuka, Berlin-based video artist Veith Michel, musician Brendan Dougherty and architects Katja Mitte and Henning Ströh with text cowritten by Wade and visual artist/ writer Marcos Rosales.
